KVK protects entrepreneurs: Phone numbers no longer visible as of September 25!

Share

Yes, you read that right. From now on, phone numbers of entrepreneurs registered with the KVK (Dutch Chamber of Commerce) are no longer public. Why? Because entrepreneurs were getting tired of all the unwanted sales calls. Bye-bye, random phone calls!

According to Minister Beljaars of Economic Affairs, this is a step towards a more modern Trade Register. On one hand, the KVK wants you, as an entrepreneur, to know who you’re doing business with. On the other hand, privacy is key. No more reason to constantly ignore your phone.

Even Greet Prins, the CEO of KVK, is pleased: freelancers, in particular, are often harassed by pushy telemarketers. And honestly, who’s waiting for that?

Extra bonus: Later this year, even fax numbers (yes, they still exist) will be removed from the Trade Register.

A little peace of mind for entrepreneurs. Well done, KVK!
